Copycat Chick-Fil-A Chicken Minis

I love finding a good copycat recipe for a restaurant favorite.

When the recipe is spot on, you can save a bunch of money by making it yourself instead of driving to a restaurant.

I’ve made a ton of fantastic copycat recipes including Chipotle carnitas, Piccadilly Macaroni and Cheese, and Cheddar’s dijon chicken and mushrooms.

We can now add one more to that list: Chick-Fil-A chicken minis.

I try not to eat at Chick-fil-a for a variety of reasons, but I do admit it is hard to avoid because the chicken is so good. When I figured out a good copycat for their breakfast fave “chicken minis”, it gave me just one more excuse to avoid the restaurant.

This is an easy copycat recipe so long as a you have a Costco nearby. The chicken used in this recipe is the “Just Bare” lightly breaded chicken nuggets found in Costco’s freezer aisle. They are a SPOT ON chicken nugget for Chick-Fil-A’s, but they can be a bit pricey. These frozen nuggets are one of the first times I did a double take because of inflation. A 4 lb. bag used to be $13 two years ago. It’s now $20.

You also need some frozen parker house rolls. The best, most Chick-Fil-A-esque rolls are the Sister Schubert rolls that come in a pie tin. You can find these at almost any grocery store, including Walmart. These taste exactly like Chick-Fil-A’s chicken mini bread.

The only other ingredients you need for this recipe are honey and butter. That’s it! It’s a simple recipe so long as you can find the right chicken nuggets and the right roll.

Enjoy!
