Football season is back, baby.
I threw a football season kick-off party with wings, nachos, brats, crackers, cheese, and meatballs yesterday.

The guest list: my husband and I.
All of that food for just the two of us. What?!
I wanted to stay in my pj’s all day and watch football, and that’s exactly what we did. Now we have a ton of leftovers, and I’m okay with that. Who doesn’t want to snack all week on homemade treats?

These mini meatball sub-bites were probably my favorite. They were unbelievably easy to make and extremely tasty.
I highly recommend making these for your next football party or gathering. They’ll be a hit!
Enjoy!
Mini Meatball Sub Bites

Baked cups full of meatballs, cheese and marinara that are the perfect bite.
Ingredients
Directions
- Roll out crescent roll dough on floured surface. Separate into two large rectangles. Using a pizza cutter, cut each rectangle into thirds. Then, cut each third in half, making 12 small rectangles.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 12 cup muffin tin with cooking spray. Lay each dough slice into each muffin cup. Using fingers, spread out dough so it resembles a small pie crust or bowl, with dough going up the sides of the muffin tin.
- Add a spoonful of pizza sauce to each dough cup. Top with a frozen meatball. Spoon another spoonful of sauce on top of the meatball. Sprinkle mozzarella on top and then add Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes.
- Bake for 15-17 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is browned.
